 Hi, everybody!

I’m going to talk about me and where am I from…
Well, I’m Karen; I’m 20 years old, I from and live in Puebla.
Almost all my family are from Puebla, but my mom parents are from Izucar de Matamoros, one of the 7 regions belonging to, with beautiful customs and traditions, in that place makes a delicious pink bread, an special cornmeal mush, also makes “Bacardi” is an alcoholic drink made of sugar cane (popular fruit from there).
My dad parents are from Tehuacan, also belonging Puebla and is one of 7 regions, great city, the people are awesome. One of the reasons for I like to visit it is because some dishes are very fantastic as a “Carne enchilada” piece of meat with red sauce, some like this; and “Muegano” typical candy made of Oblea, honey and cookie. Also, the PEÑAFIEL soda is made there.
I’ll continue with my presentation about of Puebla.
Puebla is one of the most important states in Mexico, knows like a city with great touristic zone and beautiful places, buildings, cultures, museums, schools (one of them is BUAP), food and people.
My city has beautiful traditions as HUEHUES, PARADES, TRUEQUES, OFRENDAS, etc. Although I know that this traditions or customs don’t make here are part of my state.
Culturally, the state is home to the China Poblana, festivals such as Cinco de Mayo, Day of the Dead celebrations (especially in Huaquechula) and Carnival (especially in Huejotzingo) in that place are the huehues, they make a typical dance.
If you want to visit the most important places, you can to go to Pyramid of Cholula and visit her 365 churches, will be amazing know the story.
The Puebla’s cathedral it is a building very important of Puebla, because it was made for angels, has a good structure and incredible designs.
There are volcanoes as Pico de Orizaba, Popocatépetl, Iztaccíhuatl and Malinche, some of them are in the borders of Puebla, sometimes people visit it and make a camp, although the volcanoes are very cold.
Also, the food it’s totally fantastic, the principal dishes are:
Chile en nogada (made with a fruit’s mix, especially on August or September). Mole poblano  (this dish is made with different chilies and essences, normally people makes in weddings). Cemita (Deliciously, made of bread, Oaxaca cheese, avocado, meat).
Other foods common to the state include atole with chili pepper. However, the state is best known for cemitas, mole poblano, chiles en nogada and chalupas.
Typical candies are gums, cookies, yam, and palanqueta (made with peanuts and honey).
Tacos árabes: Some people tell that just make it here, are delicious made with flour tortilla, meat and sauce.
In Puebla you could to see handicrafts made with talavera, is a roc decorate with figures painted in that.
Enjoy, try, visit and meet Puebla!

MY LAST VACATION
Thirteen or fourteen years ago, I went to Oaxaca with my family and friends. We stayed there for 4 day. In our trip we stop in Tehuacan, and after that we went to our destination. We visited “Puerto Escondido”. That place has a beautiful beach and big hotels because is a touristic zone. The weather was sunny and fresh. When we were there, we had a great experience we could touch a big oldest turtle. Normally in those places, it’s very common that people eat different kinds of fish. Also, we had the opportunity of visit “Juquilita”, that place is a big church in Oaxaca, and is about the Juquilita’s virgin. A lot of people visit her; most of them are of different states or countries. They arrive there for make her some prayers. I remember that my family bought a T-shirt as a souvenir from Puerto Escondido and Juquilita. We enjoyed that trip, and I would like to visit it again.
